MASTERCHEF winner Jane Devonshire will be cooking live at this year's free Taste of the South Festival.

The three-day culinary event, part of Poole's Maritime Festival celebrations, is set for Poole Park next week.

Jane, who won the MasterChef title in 2016, has served up dishes alongside world-renowned chefs such as Michel Roux, Atul Kochhar, Jason Atherton and Marcus Wareing.

She said: "I am absolutely delighted to be at the first ever Taste of the South festival. I love cooking at live demonstrations, the audience engagement creates such a buzz and it is great to meet everyone too.

"I'm also very much looking forward to checking out the show and browsing the various products from the south's finest producers and artisans, as well as working alongside local chefs and other businesses."

The Taste of the South Festival takes place May 19-21.

Jane will be cooking alongside Alex Aitken, The Jetty, Christchurch; Pete Murt, head chef at Rick Stein, Sandbanks; Rainbow Recipes author Barbara Cox, and Indian food specialist Sarah Ali Choudhury.
