DOG walker Lee Francis was delighted to spot a deer running along the beach as he took a morning stroll at Friar's Cliff.
The animal trotted along the shore and stopped to gaze out to sea before running along Avon beach.
The creature was spotted as Mr Francis took his dogs, Charlie and Lola, for a walk through the nature reserve at Steamer Point.
He said: "I was lucky enough to be a lofty position and to glance over at the right time.
"I often go out for early morning walks in the Moors Valley area so see a lot of deer there, but I have never seen one on the beach before."
