A music, beer and cider festival will be held at Brockenhurst FC's Grigg Lane ground this weekend. The successful revival of Brockstock is set to be held on from noon on Saturday and Sundau, featuring live bands, stalls, a tea garden and bars and family entertainment. Monies raised last year helped the club fund new floodlights. Entry is free but donations will go towards upgrading the club’s electrical systems

Friends of Burley Church are having a Burley Open Gardens event on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon until 5pm. Gardens will be open to view within walking distance of the centre of the village. Cream teas will also be available. Tickets are adults £5 and children under 16 go free and are on sale each day at The Cross near the Millennium clock.

Tall ship Lord Nelson will dock at Poole Quay on Sunday during the penultimate leg of a voyage around Britain. The vessel is one of only two tall ships in the world that is wheelchair accessible throughout. Members of the public will be invited onboard. 

Bournemouth 7s Festival celebrates its 10th year this weekend. There will be football, hockey, netball and dodgeball, music from Mistajam, Artful Dodger and Brandon Block, plus bars, live sport on the big screen and a sports zone for children. Limited tickets still available.

Verwood Carnival takes place on bank holiday Monday. The procession will leave the carnival field off Crane Drive at 12pm, before heading down Station Road, then Vicarage Road and Church Hill, along Dewlands Way and Dewlands Road, before making its way back to the carnival field.

A Monday Morning Meander takes place on Monday. The walk around Stour Valley leaves from Granby Road car park, off Muscliff Lane. Walks start at 10am and last up to two hours. There is no need to book and the walks are free.

A guided ‘rock pool ramble’ takes place at Kimmeridge Bay on Saturday from 2.30pm-4pm. A Dorset Wildlife Trust warden will teach participants about the lives of creatures which dwell in rock pools. Meet at the Fine Foundation Marine Centre by the slipway. The event costs £3 per adult, £2 per child.

The Purbeck Art Weeks Festival is back and will feature two exhibitions in Rollington Barn and the Fine Foundation Gallery in Durlston from Saturday, May 27, to Sunday, June 11.  More than 100 artists are taking part, with ‘A Moment in Time’ as this year’s theme.  During the festival there will also be various concerts and musical performances, illustrated talks and a film screening.

Classic Cars on the Prom is under way on West Overcliff Promenade and will take place every Sunday from May to September with an ever changing line-up of vehicles from 1915 up to the early 1980s.
The display normally attracts between 70 and 130 vehicles each week, starting at 4pm.

Bedding plants and bacon rolls are just a few treats for sale at the Verwood and District Horticultural Society plant sale and coffee morning.
It takes place on Saturday from 10am-12noon at Verwood Memorial Hall and entry is free. All funds raised go towards running the horticultural society.

Join Hattie Miles for a 'Hidden Histories of Boscombe Chine' walking talk on bank holiday Monday. You will find out about Boscombe Chine’s history and the many famous people connected to it.
