FAMILIES are invited to try their hand at sailing during a free event in Mudeford next weekend (13May).
Mudeford Sailing Club is inviting visitors to try the sport on Saturday May 13 from 10am until 2.30pm as part of a Push the Boat Out initiative.
The nine day nationwide event will see hundreds of people taking part in the sport with open days and taster sessions taking place at sailing clubs and centres across the country.
“We’re inviting the local community to come down to have a go at dinghy sailing, see what our unique club has to offer and get involved. Who knows, you might just get hooked?”, said Jane Challener, the club’s vice commodore.
“Our club is situated in the sheltered, safe and beautiful Christchurch Harbour. Come on down and bring some clothes suitable for the weather and that you don’t mind getting a little wet. We guarantee you’ll be smiling.”
There will be complimentary refreshments in the converted Dutch barge clubhouse and a chance to chat with members.
