A SIX week consultation starts this month on a scheme which could see up to 350 homes built at a popular recreation ground in Hamworthy.
Civic officials have already agreed to bankroll an £80,000 study into the viability of the 7.766 ha site, which includes Turlin Moor Recreation Ground.
Part of the existing open space at the recreation ground in Blandford Road has been identified as a possible site for a scheme which could create approximately 350 new homes, replacement sports pitches and public open space with enhanced protection to the Local Nature Reserve.
The plan also includes an opportunity for a second access road onto Blandford Road.
The public consultation starts on Monday, May 15 and ends on Friday, June 23.
A drop in session will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at St Gabriel’s Hall in Keysworth Road, Turlin Moor from 11am to 8pm. For more information go to poole.gov.uk.
