A leaking roof has left a town council facing a bill of more than £15,000.
Members of Lymington and Pennington Town Council were told that repairs had to be carried out to part of a building at the Sea Water Baths in Bath Road.
The council hopes to recoup the money from the Royal Ocean Racing Club, which rents the building.
Town clerk Caroline Godfrey told councillors: “There have to be legal discussions with the tenants but our advice is that we can get the money back.”
