POLICE are searching for a wanted man who breached the conditions of his licence following his release from prison.

Leon James Russell, aged 24, was released from prison on Tuesday, April 18, after serving part of a four-year sentence for robbery.

Since his release, Russell has breached the terms of his licence and a recall notice has been issued.

Russell is described as white, around five feet eight inches tall and of medium build with short blond hair. He has a tattoo on his neck.

He was last known to be in the Weymouth area, but is also known to frequent the Bournemouth area.

Detective Sergeant Paul Auger, of Dorset Police, said: “I am releasing a photo of Leon Russell in the hope that someone will know of his whereabouts.

“While we have no information to suggest that Russell presents a direct risk to the public, anyone who sees him should not approach him but immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.

“I would like to assure members of the public that officers are making every effort to find Leon Russell as soon as possible," he added.
