THE police helicopter was called out in a search for a missing man.
Arthur Middleton, who is 91, went missing from his home in Nelson Road, Westbourne, at around 11.20am today.
Police say he has now been found in Bournemouth.
Officers were "very concerned" for Mr Middleton's welfare as he is very visually impaired and has trouble walking.
They were urging for the public's help in finding him as he can become "easily confused" and it was "very unlikely" he knew where he lived.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We are pleased to update that missing Arthur Middleton, who went missing from his home in Poole earlier today, has been found in Bournemouth.
"Thank you to everyone who has helped with the search and our appeal."
