MAKE sure you pick up a copy of today's paper to check out hundreds of paw-some pictures of pet owners with their beloved animals.

We’ve been inundated with readers’ pet selfies over the past few months and in Thursday’s paper we’re featuring all 702 entries in a special supplement.

It will be purr-fect for anyone who needs cheering up after a ‘ruff’ day.

The 28-page picture special sees snaps of readers with their cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, and reptiles.

Make sure you also look out for the bearded dragon, a parrot and there’s even one llama which features in the supplement.

All the photos have been sent as entries for the Bournemouth Echo’s Pet Selfie Competition which was launched last month.

And now it is up to the readers to vote for their favourites.

The top 12 selfies will become our finalists and then the overall winners chosen by judges.

There’s £200 up for grabs for the best picture, £100 for runner up and £50 on offer for third place.

The Echo has teamed up with Link Homes to give away the cash prizes for the winners.

Link Homes Agents cover the whole of Dorset with property experts in all areas, specifically Christchurch, Poole and Bournemouth.

Bournemouth Daily Echo Deputy Editor Neil Meldrum said: “I would like to thank every one of our readers who sent us in a picture with their pets.

“It has helped to make this year’s pet selfie competition our most successful to date with an incredible 702 entries being sent in to the paper.

“We have definitely enjoyed looking at all the interesting pets that are out there. And some of your pets definitely have that star quality.

“But now it’s up to our readers to choose their favourites and help us narrow down hundreds of entries to 12 finalists.”

Readers cannot vote for their favourite picture online, only by phone.
