THIS year's Rotary Easter Quarter Marathon went off with a bang.
Nearly 350 runners lined up along the promenade at Boscombe Pier for the increasingly popular fun run.
The 6.5 mile race started and finished at the pier and took in the length of the promenade towards Hengistbury Head and returning via East Overcliff Drive.
Runners were raising funds for a range of good causes.
First over the finish line was Iain Tickett in just 34 minutes and 14 seconds. The first woman to complete the run was Juliet Champion in 40 minute and 33 seconds.
The Rotary club is supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Royal Bournemouth Hospital and the Narayan Devi School in Nepal, one of the schools destroyed in the earthquake in 2015.
