A POLISH man is at risk of being deported after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to a woman 18 months ago, a court has heard.
Cezary Sikora, of Włocławek in Poland, appeared before a Bournemouth Crown Court judge on Thursday admitting the offence against Joanna Szypulska which happened on November 13, 2015 in Bournemouth.
Prosecuting, Rob Welling and mitigating for Sikora - who is currently in custody - was Timothy Bradbury.
Mitigating, Timothy Bradbury asked for the matter to be adjourned so that an interpretor could visit Sikora in prison to discuss any mitigating factors.
Sikora had been deported from the UK previously, the court heard, but was brought back to the UK pending a warrant for his arrest.
The matter will be heard on April 21 when Sikora is expected to be sentenced.
