SUE Mathison of Bournemouth brought in this old photograph of residents from Wheaton, Rebbeck and Roberts roads in Pokesdown just before they set off on a trip to London in 1953.

Sue's grandmother Annie Turner organised the trip. She was also instrumental in putting together parties to celebrate Victory in Europe and the Coronation for the residents of the roads mentioned.

Sue has identified some of the residents as follows, Sue's grandfather Charlie Turner is on the left in the front row and next to him is Anita Hall with her husband Tom behind her. Next to Anita is her daughter June George with her children Lesley and Stephen George and next to June is Sue's grandmother Annie Turner. The dark haired girl with a bow is Sue's cousin Jackie Saxby.

Sue would like to know the names of the other children or if anybody can identify the rest of the residents or if they have memories of her grandparents.
