A 5k obstacle course is coming to Bournemouth beach on Sunday. With 20 obstacles, the one-day-only event, the first ever Sandstorm Challenge, is being held by the RNLI and will see participants pushed to the limits of their "physical and mental endurance." Visit sandstormchallenge.com to book tickets for the event, or for further information. Runners are invited to a free monthly 10k trail run across National Trust sites. The group will meet at 8.30am at the Knoll Beach Visitor Centre, Studland Bay, on Sunday, March 26 and Sunday, April 23.  For information, call 01929 450500.

A Shetland pony derby is sure to draw the crowds to this year's Point to Point at Milborne St Andrew. As well as the mini-mounts and their pint-sized jockeys, the Purbeck event features six jump races and a charity flat race in aid of Julia's House Hospice, and other entertainments will include 'Meet the Meerkats' and a selection of reptiles and snakes for people to handle. A Golden Easter Bunny Hunt has come to Bournemouth. From now until April 18, 10 golden bunnies will be moving around different businesses across town. Locate the bunnies and you could win a prize.

The Lymington Centre on New Street is holding a craft, gift and table top fair on Saturday, March 25 from 9.30-2pm.

There will be a discussion of plans to create a Bournemouth Museum taking place at the Bournemouth Natural Science Society on Saturday from 2.30pm.

Artist Richard Titcumb will be displaying his work at the Regent Centre from Saturday March 25 until April 14. He was chairman of the Hengist Group of Artists for nine years. There will be around 50 paintings of coastal scenes and the local countryside.

A coffee morning will take place on Saturday between 11am and 1pm at Oakdale Conservative Club. There will be homemade cakes, tea and coffee as well as a tombola, and a wine and water tombola. All proceeds will go to Lewis Manning Hospice. Everyone is welcome.

A vintage antiques collectors fair will take place every month at Furzebrook Village Hall. The fair is scheduled for the last Sunday of every month.

Give or Take day takes place at Henry Brown Youth Centre in Cunningham Crescent between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday. Give or take days are like jumble sales, but everything’s free.
