THIS is the moment a man was caught on camera after being stabbed and collapsing in the early hours of yesterday morning.

CCTV footage caught the man - a 25-year-old - staggering down Palmerston Road in Boscombe and crossing Shelley Road, before he eventually fell down outside at Second to None clearance shop.

Wearing black trousers, a black body warmer, a grey zip-up top and trainers, the man - who was clearly injured - stumbled and then collapsed outside the shop at 6.17am.

The shop’s owner, who asked not to be named, said he saw the man in the street, believing him to be drunk, just as he was opening the store.

“I thought he was just a drunk on the floor,” he said. “I told him to get up and then I realised.

“Basically someone had got stabbed down the road. There was some sort of domestic incident I believe.

“He got stabbed and there was blood all over his arm and his leg. It was quite bad.”

The footage shows the unidentified man putting a blade into his back pocket while on the phone to the ambulance service.

“He still had the knife on him,” the shop owner said. “He collapsed right outside here when I was opening up the shop.

“He gave the phone to me and I gave him some towels. He seemed calm as you like. But something’s gone on down the road.”

Police were called to reports of an assault. Second to None was cordoned off as police carried out their investigation. Officers were also stationed at an address further down the road later on yesterday morning.

A spokesman said: “Officers attended and discovered a 25-year-old man had sustained stab wounds to his arm and leg. A 22-year-old woman had sustained stab wounds to her leg.

“The man and woman, both from Bournemouth, have been taken to hospital for treatment and their conditions are not thought to be life-threatening.

“The man and woman, who are known to each other” the spokesman added.

The man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a 22-year-old woman was also discovered having suffered knife wounds.

She was also arrested but has been released on police bail until the end of March.
