TWO sites in Blandford and one in Purbeck have been suggested as possible locations for future waste and recycling facilities.

Langton Lodge Farm at Black Lane and land east of Sunrise Business Park have been suggested as potential sites for the development of a new waste management centre in Blandford. The proposals include a recycling centre, waste transfer facility and vehicle depot and would replace the existing facility on Holland Way Industrial Estate.

And Binnegar Environmental Park in East Stoke, near Wareham, is being considered for a facility to manage black bag waste.

The new proposals include the management of up to 100,000 tonnes a year of non-hazardous residual waste from the commercial and industrial sector. A consultation on the proposed sites runs until Wednesday, April 5. To have your say go to consult.dorsetforyou.com/portal/waste_site_options.
