BOTH Poole and Bournemouth councils have agreed to increase council tax by nearly five per cent.
At separate council meetings last night both authorities agreed to the proposed increase set out in their individual 2017/18 budgets - which includes a three per cent rise in the ‘social care precept’.
At Borough of Poole the proposals were met with opposition from the Liberal Democrats and Poole People’s Party.
Members of Christchurch council also voted to increase their share of the council tax by 2.63 per cent.
More details to follow.
