Corfe Mullen

  • Police have warned residents of Corfe Mullen to look out for their neighbours after an incident in Beech Close on Friday, February 10. Officers say a "well-dressed man" wearing high-vis workwear visited an address and told the occupant he was from the council. The man told the homeowner he had over-ordered tarmac and offered to refurbish the driveway. The homeowner didn't take the man up on the offer.
  •  Police have received reports of male youths throwing stones at windows in Rushcombe Way and Hilltop Road. Officers are asking anyone who sees this happening at the time to call 999. Anyone with information as to who is responsible can contact Corfe Mullen Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.

Christchurch

  • Thieves have targeted containers near industrial units in Airfield Road and Wilverley Road three times in the past two weeks. Tools, old vehicle batteries and scrap metal were stolen.
  • The owner of a £3,200 mountain bike has appealed for its safe return after it was stolen from the boot of his car. The distinctive orange bike, which has the words 'orange' and 'five' written in black on the frame, was taken from Jumpers Road in Christchurch overnight on Sunday February 5. The owner said the bike was taken between 11pm and 6am the following day. Incident number 55170018310.

Ferndown

  • A Stihl petrol hedge trimmer and leaf blower have been stolen from the front garden of a property in Ferndown. The theft happened in Kingsway around 5pm last Tuesday whilst the occupant was in his rear garden. Incident number 55170022932.
  • Police have received reports of a suspicious incident in Church Road. It involved an unknown man knocking on a resident’s door, stating he was carrying out work on a tree situated at the end of the resident’s garden. The man was not given access, and no garden work was carried out.  The incident happened at 11.30am on Friday, February 10.
  • An empty home in Ferndown was targeted by thieves twice in two days this month. The property, in Golf Links Road, was first burgled on Monday, February 6. During the raid, £1,500-worth of power tools were stolen. On Wednesday, February 8, the home was targeted again.
    However, nothing was stolen during the second offence. The property was empty at the time of both incidents as it has recently been refurbished.

Moordown

A Makita cordless screwdriver, multi cutter and site radio were stolen from a van parked in Strouden Road on Monday, February 13.

North Dorset

Police are investigating after hubcaps were stolen from a parked vehicle.
The theft happened sometime on Friday, February 10 in Fairlane, Shaftesbury.

West Howe

A parked car was damaged at Frost Road sometime between 3-5pm on Tuesday.
The incident involved a silver MG ZR.

Winton

A vehicle was broken into at Heathwood Road sometime between 10.30am on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
Thieves forced open the boot before making off with a laptop and gym equipment.
