A MUSEUM in Poole has received £76,625 in funding in recognition of its 'contribution to national and international research.'
The Museum of Design in Plastics (MoDiP) at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) has received the money from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) for 2017/18.
Professor Susan Lambert, head of the Museum of Design in Plastics, which is based in the AUB's library, said: "We are delighted to have joined such distinguished company.
"This award provides recognition of the significance of design in plastics as a subject area, as well as the contribution MoDiP is making to research and scholarship within it."
She added that the money will be spent of broadening the range of items available to see in the museum to 'increase the depth of our contribution to Higher Education and research beyond our immediate audience at Arts University Bournemouth.'
