RSPB Arne will be welcoming back the film crews for the start of Winterwatch on Monday.

The BBC show will be broadcast live from the reserve, just a few months after Autumnwatch was screened from the same location.

Presenters Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Martin Hughes-Games will be based at the Purbeck reserve for four days.

RSPB Dorset spokesman Morwenna Alldis said: "We're thrilled that the BBC return to RSPB Arne next week.

"RSPB Arne is one of the most wildlife rich reserves in the UK and it proved a big hit with Autumnwatch viewers back in October 2016.

"Winterwatch is the perfect opportunity for the public to discover the beautiful seasonal changes that have occurred in both the landscape and wildlife of RSPB Arne over the last couple of months."

The Winterwatch cameras will be travelling to a number of sites in the Isle of Purbeck, as well as Poole Harbour's Brownsea Island, which is looked after by the National Trust and Dorset Wildlife Trust.

Winterwatch will be screened on BBC2 from Monday, 23 January, until Thursday, 26 January.
