FISHERMEN and fishmongers are being urged to apply for roles in a major upcoming film.

The as-yet-unknown feature is being shot in Southampton in early 2017.

It's not entirely clear what the film is going to be, but Southampton has been the location for a films and television series including Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and 24: Live Another Day, which was shot in the city and in the New Forest.

In Dorset, filming for the upcoming war epic Dunkirk took place in Swanage and Weymouth over the summer.

And scenes for a film starring Dame Joan Collins, called The Time of Their Lives, were shot on Boscombe Pier in July.

In April last year, a masted pirate ship was moored off Swanage Pier as part of filming for an adaptation of Peter Pan.

Here are some other Dorset locations that have featured in films.
