ROWDY teenagers caused havoc at a Ferndown fast food restaurant on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to KFC in Ringwood Road after a group of around 15 boys and girls started to throw chairs and stand on tables.

Two young people have now been banned from the venue for six months.

PCSO Cheryl Belfield, of Ferndown Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “It was reported a large group of youths were in the premises, throwing chairs, standing on tables and upsetting others with their disruptive behaviour.

“Two individuals were identified as being involved in the incident.

“Both youths have been banned from using the facilities for six months.”

Officers also sent letters and made visits to parents of youngsters involved in the incident.

“This type of behaviour is not acceptable,” PCSO Belfield said.

She urged parents to remind youngsters to be “considerate and to respect others”.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said officers were called to reports of anti-social behaviour shortly before 5pm on December 2.

The incident took place just four days after police used 'pepper spray' in a bid to disperse a group of youths allegedly causing a disturbance at McDonalds fast food restaurant in Somerford Road, Christchurch.

An officer was called to the scene on the evening of Monday November 28 after complaints that roughly 15 teenagers were being verbally and physically aggressive towards staff.

The police officer was allegedly bitten during the disturbance and police inquiries are continuing.
