A GRIEVING Christchurch family has paid tribute to their son and brother who died in a motorbike crash in Wales.

Robert Freeman, who lived in Bristol, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Royal Gwent Hospital after the single vehicle collision, near Magor in south east Wales, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the A4810, near a Tesco distribution centre in Magor, at 1.45am.

Specialist officers are now supporting 35-year-old Mr Freeman’s family, who live in Burton.

The family have issued a statement which says: “Our dearly beloved son and brother Robert has gone leaving a huge gap in all of our lives.

“It is apparent how loved he was by his friends and what a happy soul he was who enjoyed life to its fullest.”
