Man's body found in River Stour
A MAN'S body has been found in a river.
Dorset Police was called at 12.51am on Tuesday to reports of a concern for welfare of a man in his 60s from Sturminster Newton.
Officers, assisted by Dorset Fire and Rescue Service and Dorset Search and Rescue, have been searching an area of the River Stour, close to the Bull Tavern Bridge.
The body of the missing man was located in the River Stour by search teams this afternoon.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been notified.
The next of kin have been informed.
