CHARMINSTER is positively thriving at the moment and fast becoming a comfortable place to spend time relaxing, whether day or night.

The newest name on the block is so fresh that it currently doesn’t even have a name yet.

In fact the proprietors have decided that it will be good fun to allow their future customers to vote for their favourite name for this establishment. Voting is free via the website at www.name-our-bar.co.uk and there will be prizes for the winners.

Whether it’s cocktails with the girls, lunch with the kids or coffee with the in-laws, the new all day coffee lounge in Charminster aims to appeal to everyone.

Situated in the former shell of the family-friendly Italian restaurant Peppinos on Charminster Rd, the new venue will be run by a new management team.

Currently undergoing a massive refurbishment and due to open soon, it’s expected to provide something fresh and exciting to the bustling suburb.

Any evidence that this used to be the popular Italian restaurant will be completely erased, as the cavernous interior is set to transformed with a quirky interior and effortless shabby chic design giving it a bohemian, relaxed feel.

You could easily while away the hours here, turning day into night. The unnamed venue will offer cracking coffee, an eclectic food menu and a bar serving colourful cocktails accompanied by live music, DJ’s and comedy nights.

From 10am customers will be able to chill out on comfy sofas and tuck into freshly baked croissants, chocolate brownies, flapjacks, muffins, scones, loaf cake, squidgy meringue, fruit tart or hot pudding, the chefs will offer a selection of home-made treats every day.

At 5pm the mood is expected to change again with a lovingly stocked bar and talented mixologists stimulating your senses by creating bespoke cocktails.

The venue is also proud to be part of the Heineken ‘Drink Responsibly’ campaign. As such they will have a large selection of non and low alcoholic beers, wines and ciders available.

Charminster has seen a surge in family-friendly destinations in the past year and this one is a welcome addition, not least for its expected thoughtful decor, fantastic food and ambience.
