A woman arrested in connection with a reported stabbing in Bournemouth has been released on police bail.

Officers were called at around 2am on Wednesday, October 26 to an address on Cromer Road.

The victim – a man aged in his 40s – suffered serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening and is being treated in hospital.

A 29-year-old Bournemouth woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until the end of October.

Detective Inspector Neil Wright, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I am still keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.

“The address remains cordoned off to allow investigators to examine the scene.
