IT IS alarming that Cllr Filer (Letters, October 25) misrepresents the impact upon Christchurch residents of Options 2A and 2B in the consultation questionnaire.
Under both options Christchurch residents would continue to pay far more than residents in Poole and Bournemouth for the same level of service even beyond 2038.
Why would my constituents want to give up control over key policy areas such as planning, the Green Belt and housing allocations whilst still paying more than £200 per annum extra?
If a leading Bournemouth councillor does not understand the consultation, what hope is there for everybody else?
