A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was allegedly stabbed in Bournemouth.
Police were called at 2am on Wednesday, October 26 to an address in Cromer Road, Queen's Park.
There, they found that a 40-year-old man had suffered wounds to his arm and chest.
The injuries are serious, but police say they are not believed to life-threatening.
The man is being treated at Poole Hospital.
A 29-year-old Bournemouth woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
The man and the woman are known to each other.
A member of the public called the emergency services.
Detective Inspector Neil Wright, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.
“The address has been cordoned off to allow investigators to examine the scene.
“Anyone with information should contact police or call Crimestoppers anonymously.”
A spokesperson from the South Western Ambulance Service said the man was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
"He sustained arm and chest injuries," he said.
