Bournemouth could be about to get two new dessert parlours.
On Old Christchurch Road, Z&M Gelato are asking for permission to turn the former karaoke bar into a gelato parlour employing nine people.
The restaurant would have new folding doors and an improved frontage which the application says would 'create a visually pleasing appearance' and 'regenerate the building to a modern standard.
And the Bournemouth Coffee Company is applying for permission to turn the former Store Twenty One in Wimborne Road, Winton, into a Kaspa's Dessert House serving gelatos, waffles and sundaes.
Kaspa's say they are a "chain of exciting new dessert houses that offer the world's favourite hot and cold desserts under one roof. Our emphasis is on high quality desserts, good customer service and an overall amazing dining experience for our customers."
The application says no cooking other than the making of crepes and waffles will be carried out on site and no alcohol will be served.
A separate application to knock down part of the building and build 15 flats at the rear has recently been withdrawn.
