POLICE caught a driver doing double the speed limit on a busy Bournemouth road on Friday night.
The Dorset Police No Excuse team said they stopped a vehicle for travelling at 64mph along Castle Lane West, which is a 30mph limit.
The driver has been sent to court for the offence.
The No Excuse team has been set-up to tackle bad and inconsiderate driving across the county.
Aiming to use a combination of enforcement and education to tackle the 'fatal five', they operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The fatal five include drink and drug driving, excessive and inappropriate speed, not wearing a seatbelt, driver distractions such as mobile phones and careless driving.
Officers also arrested another driver after a Seat was seen travelling on the wrong side of the road.
The car was stopped by police and the driver was found to be three times over the limit, a spokesperson said.
The driver will appear in court over the offence, they added.
