THE Four Tops and The Temptations have joined forces to bring their tour to Bournemouth later this month.

Featuring special guests Tavares, the three bands will play the BIC Bournemouth on October 29.

Otis Williams of The Temptations said: “The UK audience has always been the best in world! We’re looking forward to performing for the greatest fans.”

The Temptations were the first Motown band to win a Grammy Award in 1969.

Amongst their classics are My Girl and Papa Was a Rolling Stone. The line up of the group is Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Larry Braggs and Willie Greene Jr.

The Four Tops’ Duke Fakir shares his feelings: “Our UK tour is always our most exciting tour of the year. I and the other Tops are looking forward to our fall visit in our favourite country. Hope to see you all at our concerts with our friends the Temptations and Tavares.”

The Four Tops’ groundbreaking sound includes soul, R&B, disco, doo-woop and jazz influences; they strongly contributed to define the Motown sound.

Their hits include I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) and 1966 number one Reach Out (I’ll Be There). The line up for the tour includes original member Duke Fakir plus Ronnie McNeir, Lawrence Payton and Harold ‘Spike’ Bonhart.

Special guests Tavares also welcomed the news enthusiastically: “We are looking forward to the UK tour next October with the Temptations and The Four Tops and can’t wait to perform all of our hits for the UK fans who have always been so supportive throughout our career.”

Tavares will bring to the BIC even more golden hits including More Than A Woman, Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel and Don’t Take Away The Music.
