A MOTORCYCLIST who was involved in a three-vehicle crash near Lymington last month has died.
Emergency services were called at 4.45pm on Monday, September 19 following the collision on the A337 between Lymington and Everton involving a VW Golf, a VW Polo and a motorcycle.
The 73-year-old motorcyclist from the New Forest was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police closed the road for around five hours while they dealt with the incident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police has now confirmed that the motorbike rider died yesterday as a result of the crash.
They added: "Officers are supporting his next of kin and formal identification procedures are ongoing."
Investigations are continuing into the exact circumstances of the incident and anyone with information is asked to call Sgt Steve Antrobus on 101, quoting 44160354534.
