DORSET’s household recycling centres will move to their winter opening hours from this weekend.
From Saturday, October 1 the centres will open at 10am and close at 4pm.
The centres are open at these times until March 31, 2017.
They are shut on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
As fewer residents use the 11 household recycling centres during this part of the year, the Dorset Waste Partnership reduces operational hours in order to save money.
There are household recycling centres in Blandford, Christchurch, Shaftesbury, Sherborne, Swanage, Wareham and Wimborne.
