A BURST water pipe forced a school to close.
Cranborne Middle School near Wimborne will be closed for the rest of today after a pipe on the premises ruptured.
However, pupils should be able to return to their classes on Tuesday morning.
In a message posted on the school's website, headteacher Craig Watson said: "Following our emergency closure, we have been informed by the water engineers that they are able to do a temporary repair so that school will be open as normal tomorrow."
Parents and staff will be notified about any issues on the school's website, Mr Watson said.
He added: "Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused."
A spokesperson from Bournemouth Water said engineers were on-site to fix the pipe.
"Although it’s not a Bournemouth Water main, we’ve sent a technician to the site to see whether we can be of any assistance," the spokesperson added.
Around 400 pupils in years five to eight currently attend the school.
