THERE will not be a Larmer Tree Festival next year, organisers have announced.

They are taking a break and will return in 2018, it was revealed today.

The family-friendly festival is held at Cranborne Chase.

In a statement, organisers said: 'Larmer Tree Festival are announcing today that, following a truly amazing 26th festival, the directors have made the very difficult decision that they and the festival need to take a year off in 2017 to fully refresh both creatively and personally.

"Larmer Tree Festival will return in 2018 with some new and exciting developments. The dates confirmed for 2018 are the weekend of 20th-22nd July - a week later than normal, so make sure it’s firmly in your diary.

"The directors would like to thank their many audience members for their constant support of Larmer Tree over the past 26 years, and the endless enthusiasm and hard work of everyone involved so far."

James Shepard, director and founder added: “There’s no doubt that it’s the passion and care of such a fantastic team that makes Larmer Tree Festival the truly unique event that it is, and will continue to be.”
