WE HAVE recently had our road resurfaced in Bradpole Road, Strouden Park. It is a total disaster.
I phoned the council and they inform me that the shingle resurface is the cheapest and quickest method to mend roads that have had lots of potholes in them.
The problem is they have just resurfaced over the potholes and dips in the road and now we have a shingle surface that has more cracks and holes in it than we ever had before.
The puddles are bigger and the mess is atrocious.
The council just said this is the best it gets.
What will now happen is the road is already starting to crack after three days of it being completed.
It is a total waste of council taxpayers’ money and it is very short-sighted if they believe this is the solution going forward as they will need to be round here next week repairing the road again.
