Ping! Bournemouth comes to a close on Wednesday. The free outdoor table tennis festival has been running since June 10. There are 20 tables at various locations across town over the weekend. The event, which made its Bournemouth debut this year, has been taking place in 21 towns and cities across the UK this summer.

It's the Dorset Plane Pull on Monday at 10am. Now in its eighth year, the event will be hosted by European Skybus at Bournemouth Airport from 10am. Organisers hope to smash their fundraising target this year, taking the total raised to more than £100,000. This year, the event will support more than 10 charities, including Royal Bournemouth Hospital, the Isabel Baker Foundation, New Forest Night Stop and Meningitis UK. Spectators are invited to cheer on the teams. 

It's the final day of the Great Dorset Steam Fair. There are steam engines, stunt displays, a music festival, fairground, food and shopping marquees, exhibitions and lots more.

Southbourne will play host to the Go Spike Big Weekend on Monday from 12pm. Shelly Park, behind the Shelly Theatre, will open its doors for people of all ages to join them at their free festival of volleyball with activities suitable for all ages and abilities to come along and play together. Activities include the traditional volleyball set up indoor or on grass, sitting volleyball as seen at the recent Invictus Games and beach volleyball. 

Verwood Rustic Fayre takes place today at Potterne Park between 12pm and 5.30pm. There will be classic cars, stalls, eagle and vulture displays, static steam engines, terrier racing, circus skills and a pets corner. There will even by a flypast from a Spitfire and a Hurricane. Entry is is £4.50 and children with a paying adult go free.
