A man is due to appear in court charged in connection with a fatal collision in Bournemouth in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Rafal Seniuk, 21, from Poland has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and is due to appear at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court today.

It follows a collision involving a blue Honda Jazz and a Polish registered Mercedes minibus just before 12.54am on Sunday at the junction of Southbourne Road and Parkwood Road in Southbourne.

A 31-year-old man from Poland – a passenger in the minibus - was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. His next of kin has been informed and the coroner has been notified.

Three other men aged 21, 26 and 54 who were inside the minibus suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The driver of the Honda car - a 44-year-old man from the Bournemouth area - was taken to Bournemouth Hospital with minor injuries.

The 26-year-old man from Poland also arrested on suspicion of driving offences has been released without charge.
