POLICE have launched an investigation after 14 pigs were stolen from a farm.

The Landrace Duroc cross pigs were taken from South Allenford Farm in Fordingbridge sometime between 5.30pm on Monday, August 15 and 6am the following day.

Each weight between 25 to 30 kilos are are tattooed with HB0789 on their shoulder.

The tattoo is the Allenford marking.

Their pen is located close to an access road running from Damerham Road to Tidpit Road.

PC Rob Morant, of the New Forest West Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “These pigs are likely to be kept and fed up for a number of months as they are not currently at the required size to be sent to an abattoir.

“I would like to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of the livestock, or who witnessed pigs being transported in the area.”
