THERE are only eight days left until the Bournemouth Air Festival roars into life.

Hundreds of thousands of spectators are expected to descend on Bournemouth for what has become the town's largest annual event.

The four-day festival attracts leading names in aviation display, including the RAF's Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the mighty Typhoon Eurofighter.

And this year promises some brand new attractions, which are set to amaze the crowds that pack the beach and clifftops.

To find out more, visitors are being urged to buy a copy of the official Air Festival Programme, available now at the Daily Echo's Richmond Hill offices and at a host of book shops and other retail outlets across Bournemouth Packed with images, information and all you need to know about this year's action - on land, sea and in the air - the programme features a stunning cover design by aviation artist David Bent.

The official programme contains the all important air festival timetable, and a unique access code which enables reader's to access special flying updates.

Also, with every purchase a donation will be made to the 2016 Armed Forces nominated charities, which include the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity, ABF The Soldiers Charity, and, of course, the Jon Egging Trust.

The Tigers parachute display team, the Swiss Air Force's Super Puma display and a host of other amazing aircraft and displays are set to wow the crowds in 2016. But its not just heavyweights for the aviation world that are set to entertain.

Chart toppers Kaiser Chiefs will be headlining the Wave 105 Night Air event, as part of festival.

The award-winning band were announced, earlier this month, as part of the line-up for Hits on the Beach at Boscombe Pier They join Travis and rising star Imani Williams, along with Calum Scott, on the beach stage on Friday August 19.
