One lane of the A31 is closed following a single-vehicle accident.
The crash occurred on the eastbound carriageway between Picket Post services and Stoney Cross.
There are reports of queues back to Ringwood which is also having a knock-on effect on traffic between Ringwood and the M27.
Police initially said the road may need to be closed but a closure is no longer needed.
Recovery work is now underway.
