CHERRIES youngster Matt Butcher could make his Football League debut tomorrow after completing a loan move to League Two Yeovil.
The 19-year-old midfielder or defender joins the Huish Park outfit until January in line with new loan rules that prevent professional players being borrowed for a month at a time.
Subject to FA and Football League clearance, Butcher may line up for the Glovers in their opening match at home to Notts County.
Yeovil boss Darren Way said: "I feel we've been very lucky to sign Matt and I am very grateful to the manager Eddie Howe for allowing the deal to go through.
"I watched Matt a lot last year and feel we have signed a very good player who will bring a wealth of talent to our team."
Butcher made his senior Cherries bow at Hartlepool in the League Cup a year ago and started in the FA Cup at Birmingham in January.
During a loan spell at National League Woking, the youth-team graduate played 10 times and scored twice in a 2-2 draw at Southport in April.
Joe Quigley (Gillingham) and Harry Cornick (Leyton Orient) have also bagged temporary spells with Football League clubs this summer.
