TOM Killick reckons he is close to completing his summer transfer business after sealing deals for winger Abdulai Baggie and ex-Cherries youngster Ryan Case.

Baggie, who trialled with ambitious National North outfit AFC Fylde during pre-season, impressed on his return to Tatnam and will now be based in the area.

Full-back Case, who was released by Basingstoke towards the end of last season, is no stranger to the local non-league circuit having cut his teeth at Wimborne, Bashley and New Milton while with Cherries.

Killick told the Daily Echo: “Abs has been impressive during the pre-season games and is now going to be based down here.

“He has a really good pedigree and it is a good signing. He is still young but has a lot of experience and that will of benefit to us so I am pleased.

“Ryan can play anywhere across the back four and his flexibility will be a big boost. That is us pretty much done now but you can never rule out any movement.”

Case’s arrival could not be better timed after Dolphins defender Michael Walker was hit with an extra two-match ban following his dismissal at Hitchin on April 9 last season.

The FA found Walker guilty of improper conduct in the tunnel three months after the event, leaving an irked Killick without the towering defender for his club’s first three National South fixtures.

“They said there were issues with Walks leaving the pitch promptly. We were irritated because we didn’t hear about these charges until three weeks ago,” he added.

“The game took place in April so to get this in July was surprising and disappointing to say the very least.

“You do worry that they could start raising charges back from 1994 or when we were in Wessex One and ask us to respond within seven days.”
