TWO cars were involved in a crash in north Dorset.

The road between Gillingham and East Stour was closed Saturday afternoon due to the crash. Dorset Police and the ambulance service were called to the scene.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called at 12.05pm to the two-vehicle crash at Hunger Hill near Gillingham.

“The vehicles involved were a Peugeot 106 registered to a man from Birmingham and a silver Suzuki registered to a Gillingham woman.

“It is not believed there are serious injuries but the ambulance service was called.”

Officers left the scene by 3.15pm and were awaiting a local authority team to clean up the debris from the road.
