FILMING will continue today for war epic Dunkirk in Weymouth.

The town has been a buzz with sightings of the stars including Mark Rylance (From Bridge of Spies) and director Christopher Nolan (of Batman and Interstellar fame.)

Filming took place late into the evening last night with diversions put in place around the Nothe Fort as the crews filmed scenes on a boat out to sea before heading back into Weymouth Harbour.

Floodlights lit up Hope Square and along the Old Harbour.

It is understood the cast and crew will be back on set today from around 2pm.

It has been rumoured that Harry Styles and Tom Hardy are in the town, with the latter rumored to have been spotted in The Boot Inn.

Old boats from the 40s and 50s lined the harbour last night and military vehicles were parked up by Weymouth Pavilion.

The Dive Centre even got a lick of paint to give it a 40s makeover into a sailmakers.

The shoot is due to wrap early tomorrow morning and the rest of the day will be used for taking down the set and packing everything up.

Custom House Quay is closed while filming continues from South Parade to Commercial Road and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
