Think you’re made of tough stuff?

Then here’s your chance to prove it as Channel 4 show The Island with Bear Grylls is on the look-out for its next bunch of survivors.

Producers are looking for men and woman aged 18 and over to take part in the fourth series.

In previous shows volunteers were stripped of all the comforts of civilisation, and cast away on a remote deserted island, having to build their own shelter and catch food.

They filmed themselves and shared their raw, exhilarating story of survival.

A spokesperson said: “We are looking for fit and able people of all ages (18+) each with their unique skillset, from a variety of backgrounds and professions who are confident in their ability to thrive but they do not need any experience in adventure or survival pursuits to participate.

“We will cover reasonable pre-agreed loss of earnings for everyone who participates.”

Adventurer Bear Grylls said: “This is Lord of the flies meets Bear Grylls meets Darwin’s survival of the fittest. Man has moved further and further from his hunter-gatherer origins.

"We take food, shelter, warmth for granted; we barely have to expend any time and energy to get them. I want to find out what happens when you strip people of all the comforts of modern life”.

No experience of adventure or survival pursuits is necessary.
