The skies over Bournemouth were illuminated last night when the first Friday night fireworks display of the summer took place.
The popular free display will run for five weeks and take place at 10pm every Friday until August 26.
To kick off the run of summer displays, a Friday Family Fiesta took place, backed by the Bournemouth and Hotel Association (BAHA) featuring live entertainment in the Lower Gardens.
There was a fire show, circus workshop, stilt walkers, face painting and the Boscombe Salvation Army playing in the Bandstand.
Characters from Frozen also handed out hugs with little ones able to meet Anna, Elsa and Olaf.
Firework displays will take place on August 5, 12, 19 and 26.
