A MAN was arrested after police officers carried out a drugs raid in central Bournemouth on Friday night.
Around three armed police vehicles and one marked police car were in Old Christchurch Road at around 8.30pm.
Initially, a spokesperson for Dorset Police said officers were carrying out a "pre-planned operation".
It has now been confirmed that an address in the road was raided and a man arrested.
"Following intelligence officers executed an arrest warrant along Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth in the evening of Friday, July 1," the spokesperson said.
"A 20-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of the supply and possession of drugs and is helping officers with their enquiries."
