THE last day of the Bournemouth Food and Drink Festival brought in the food-loving crowds from far and wide.

Residents and tourists alike had been indulging in 10 days of culinary treats at the Square with dishes from all across the globe.

Everything from tapas to dumplings was on offer amongst the gastronomic delights. Children were able to take part in a range of activities, such as making sausage rolls, while people aged 18 and over could sip on a pint while listening to live music watching the visitors go by.

Alex Wood, manager of Roly Poly, a gourmet burger bar, said Bournemouth was one of several places they visit but he was very impressed with the town.

"I absolutely love the place," he said. "I have never been here before. There's so much culture and it's really interesting. I had no idea it was so big. When we have customers coming up to you saying 'that was the best burger I have ever had' you get more satisfaction from it.

"There has been some quite healthy competition," he added. "There is a good amount of different companies and that's how it should be. Everyone is a winner. It's a very good location and evenly spread out as well."
