THOUSANDS are expected to flock to Dorset’s largest ever vegan fair this weekend.

Now in its third year, Bournemouth Vegan Fair is back at the BIC  – but for the first time ever the fair will be extended to a two day event running over the whole weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

The event will host around 90 stalls and visitors will be able to sample tasters, collect recipes and talk to suppliers and experts.

There will also be the opportunity to watch Cowspiracy: the Sustainability Secret and hear from vegan personal trainer Kieran McDermott about how he maintains a vegan lifestyle while training.

Selling everything from tasty raw snacks to vegan shoes, many of the stallholders are from the local area including Meatfree Martha, Mr Nice Pie, Lush, Vegan Heart Cakes and Kate’s Dairy Free Cakes.

The fair is open from 11am to 4pm on both days.

1,200 people showed up at the Lyndhurst vegan fair in the New Forest at the end of April resulting in queues of three hours.

For this event people are being urged to buy tickets in advance at dorsetveganevents.co.uk/bournemouth-tickets-2016.

They can be bought at the door on the day but there will be two queues, one for those who have bought tickets, and one for those who are yet to purchase.

For those buying on the day, ticket sales will not start until 11am.

Priority will be given to those who have already purchased their ticket, and those with mobility issues.

The organisers have also said they will be operating a one in one out policy when it reaches capacity.

Adults will pay £5 for a day ticket (both in advance and on the day) and £7.50 for a weekend ticket.

Children under the age of 14 and free.

They are also expecting the fair to be busier on Saturday than on Sunday and the usual peak time is between 11am and 2pm.

The first 75 visitors on each day will receive a free goody bag.
