Street parties will be taking place all over the country this weekend in honour of the Queen's 90th birthday. 

Although Her Majesty officially turned 90 on April 21, her second birthday will be marked on June 11.

A number of events are taking place across Dorset and the New Forest.

1. A giant street party for up to 2,000 people comes to Ringwood Market Place on Sunday. The event, which is being hosted by Ringwood Town Council, takes place between 2pm and 4pm. There will be music, entertainment, rides and games with residents asked to take their own picnic along. Tables and chairs will be provided. There is no cost for this event, but tickets will be required to guarantee a seat. Tickets for Ringwood residents can be collected from Ringwood Gateway. Maximum 6 tickets per family.

2. An all-day party takes place at New Milton Recreation Ground on Sunday. Between 1pm and 9.30pm, there will be music across two stages from a variety of acts including a “Last Night of the Proms”. Residents are invited to take their own picnic, rugs and chairs. There will also be an International Food Village situated in the adjacent Old Milton Road, which will be closed off to traffic. There will be fish and chips, noodle dishes and more to choose from. The party will close with a performance by Queen tribute band, “Forever Queen” who will be accompanied by pyrotechnics followed by a short firework display. There will even be a special fly-past by a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster at 2.45pm. For more, visit newmiltoncelebrates.com.

3. Families are encouraged to join Upton House and Country Park's celebrations to mark the Queen's 90th birthday on Saturday. The event takes place from 10.30am to 2pm in the walled garden, which will be decorated with bunting, featuring children's craft activities, costing from £2 each, and treats in the tea rooms. 4. A village fete and dog show will be held at Pentridge Village Green in conjunction with the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations. Between 1.30pm-5.30pm on Saturday, visitors can enjoy traditional fete games, craft demonstrations, music from the Verwood Brass Training Band, tricks at the dog show, face painting and a range of refreshments and homemade produce. There will be a competition for the best royal-themed cake, as well as a fancy dress competition with the same theme. Proceeds will go the village hall charity at the Church of St Rumbold.

5. Ashley’s Birthday Bank, based in Bournemouth, will be hosting a day of music and games at Hillview Parade between 11am and 3pm on Sunday. Singer Anthony Jay will entertain the crowds and Bournemouth Sea Cadets will perform procession marches. There will be a number of stalls offering cream teas, cakes and sweets, as well as a BBQ, bar, and other refreshments. Youngsters will get a chance to meet Peppa Pig, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and Chase from Paw Patrol, before enjoying games including Hook a Duck, Lucky Squares, and Pin the Crown on the Queen.

6. Pokesdown Community Forum are holding a Queen's Summer Market on Pokesdown Green (opposite station) from 11am to 3pm on Saturday. There will be stalls, refreshments, children's entertainment and an ice cream van booked. Red, white and blue dress encouraged. 

7. A community fun day to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday will be held at Lansdowne Church in Woodbury Avenue on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm. There will be live music, face painting, barbecues, and games. All donations to The Townsend Children's Project.

8. A street party takes place on Sunday at All Saints' Church in Branksome Park between 12pm and 3pm. Visit allsaintsbh13.church

9. A garden party and picnic will be held to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday on Sunday at the Primrose Lodge Care Home at St Catherine’s Road. The event takes place from 3-6.30pm and there is a 50p entrance - the proceeds of which will be used for the home’s residents.
Visitors are encouraged to take along a picnic and chairs. 

10. Macdonald Elmers Court Hotel & Resort in Lymington hosts a family fun day on Sunday. There will be arts and crafts, music from the Lymington Town Band, entertainment, rides for children, a bouncy castle and a BBQ/Hog Roast. The event, which is in aid of Help for Heroes, takes place from 10am to 5pm. 

11. A picnic to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday takes place as part of the Wimborne Minster Folk Festival on Sunday. There will be tea served on the Minster Green from 2pm, a birthday cake and even a guest appearance from Wimborne's very own Queen!
